Marshall 4x12 speaker cabinet - Late 60's

Marshall 4x12 speaker cabinet

I bought this cabinet just after high school. Originally I had the matching bottom, but sold it in the mid-90's when I had stopped playing. The name plate on the front was crushed and fell off while on the road in Colorado with Funky Bonz.

I still use this cabinet on occasion, driven by my Mesa Boogie amp. The Mesa Boogie can drive its own 2 speakers as well as the 4 in this cabinet, or when I'm in the studio, I just drive the Marshall which is located in an isolation room.

Right after I bought this cabinet, I went to a stereo rig, so I had this cabinet altered to run in mono and stereo modes. Tim Mize at Music West in Sierra Vista did the work for me. In mono mode, the cabinet runs at 4 ohms. In stereo, it runs at 8 ohms a side. The speakers in it are still the originals--25 watt Celestions.
